<image:caption>March 2008, after my first abdominal surgery. I had not started lifting at this point, and was very skinny as you can see. My friend Olga, a Russian-Canadian professional dancer is behind me.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This was taken a few weeks after my second abdominal surgery in June 2014. I had been lifting without a proper program for about three years at this point. I recovered much quicker.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Casually flexing, didn't even know the camera was there... This was taken about a month-and-a-half after my second surgery - I maintained muscle through my recovery and was ready to train and get healthy again much quicker than the first time. Since then I have gained almost 22 lbs., and I'm stronger than I've ever been.</image:caption>
